Middle Foy's Lake is officially ice-free. We've been getting bursts of snow regularly since April 1 -- March was a-lyin' about it's weather-intentions after the Equinox. I hope the Deer are finding their natural foods -- they sure looked skinny the other night. Big Rooster Pheasants are eating right out of the box feeder, and the Red Wing Blackbirds are singing their lovely songs.

In The Community: Still Dawg-sick, but new updates are trickling onto the Hockaday Museum of Art's Website somehow. We have an opening next Thursday.

Media Watch: Trash A-Go-Go -- The charming, funny, but not-so-famous-anymore, Paulina Porzikova was first off Dancing With The Stars. One more Miss USA has bitten the dust too -- she wasn't as bad as the last one, but neither she nor her partner had much charisma. We are rooting against sleazy talk-show host Leeza Gibbons, who was in the bottom two this last week. Anton Apollo Ohno and Jullien Hough did the only really good dance during the third week -- everyone else stalled slightly. Judge Len Goodman complained about the silliness at the start of each number, and he was RIGHT! The "Results Shows" have been over-padded and dragging this season -- worse than usual. There's also been TOO MUCH PIMPING of other ABC shows.
