Back from France -- with too much to say. I saw a pair of spotted fawns leaping across the road in bright afternoon sunshine today, and heard Coyotes last night -- watch out!

Media Watch: Carole Lombard movies on TCM this morning -- great actress, but there are an awful lot of second rate screwball comedies in her cirricula vitae.


CHAPITEAU NAPO -- the 500 seat tent, set up by famous master circus engineer Napo at La Chaussee in 6 hours, with the help of four assistants. I saw both Pierre Byland and Nola Rae perform under this big top. (Picture uploaded 8/19/2006 -- thanks for the spelling tip, Suse!)
